Research In Advanced Topics In Engineering (ECE 4300-5300) - Spring Semester

Course Description

3 credit course

This course will enable conducting research in various advanced topics in engineering; for instance, embedded/digital systems (FPGA/ASIC); data analytics/mining; machine learning and AI; hardware cybersecurity; adaptive cognitive radio; embedded control systems, and many other fields of engineering. Students will also evaluate literature, prepare research proposals, and learn state-of-the-art techniques and methodologies in specific engineering fields, and improve technical writing and presentation skills. Includes a final project.

Prerequisites: ECE 4242/5242 or ECE 4211/5211 or ECE4300/5300 or consent of the instructor.
